From the beginning, Nextech has been building business class desktop computers tailored to the needs of our customers.  We strive to stay on top of the latest technology to find the perfect balance of cost, performance and quality.  In any configuration, your NexStation will be built to last as each of the components have been selected by our team based on its performance both in our lab and in the field.  Each system is assembled, and thoroughly tested, in house prior to delivery to ensure it is ready to stand up to whatever you have in store for it.

Additional information

These 3 processors are among the latest offerings from Intel's "Alder Lake" class of processors.

The i3 is great for entry level users who are less likely to to be multitasking.

An i5 processor has six cores, vs the four in the i3, so for users who tend to be working on several things at a time, this CPU offers great performance for the price.

The i7 processor has twelve cores. This processor is best suited for power users who will be running many applications at the same time, or perhaps have the need to run one or more virtual machines on their computer.

Memory, or RAM, is where the computer stores information that it is actively working on. The more memory a computer has, the more it is able to work on without sacrificing performance.

8GB of RAM is enough for most users, based on today's operating systems and applications.

16GB of RAM is ideal for power users and for those who want to ensure their system will have enough power to handle the operating systems and applications of tomorrow. The operating systems and applications of tomorrow will continue to require more memory to keep up with user demands of more features and a richer computing experience.

32GB of RAM is reserved for the most demanding users, like those dealing with large graphic design, or video editing projects. Users who plan to run one or more virtual machines will also benefit from having 32GB of memory.

Primary Storage

Otherwise known as your C: drive. This storage device will be where your operating system and applications live. If you don't opt for a secondary storage device, this will be where your data lives as well.

Traditional hard disk drives offer the greatest capacity for the price, however are much slower compared to the more modern solid state disks (SSD). SATA based SSDs are about twice as fast as traditional hard disks, and M.2 NVMe SSDs are about four times faster than SATA based SSDs. If performance is paramount, then an M.2 NVMe SSD is definitely worth the investment.

Secondary Storage

A secondary storage device is typically added when an SSD is selected as the primary storage device, and the user requires more space than the SSD can offer. There is little performance gain to storing many gigabytes of media (pictures, videos, music, etc…) or documents on an SSD, so adding a hard disk to the machine can add the necessary storage for these items while minimizing cost.

The NexStation SL21A features the Gigabyte B560M MicroATX Motherboard. Since most business users don't have a need for excessive connectivity, this board features plenty of the most commonly used ports, and forgoes connectors that are rarely used in the business world. This keeps performance and reliability high, and the price low.

With this board, the SL20A has connectivity for:
-Up to 3 displays at the same time
-1x Gigabit LAN
-1x USB-C
-5x USB 3.2
-4x USB 2.0
-1x PS/2 (for legacy mouse and keyboard)
-Audio Connections: 2x Speaker Out, 2x Mic In, 1x Line Out

Optical Storage

While the need to read and write CDs and DVDs is becoming less and less frequent, many users still require this capability. If "burning" a CD or DVD to share with colleagues or clients is still a necessity, ensure to include an optical storage device.
